Impact from a vehicle

Garage door off its track
Stop using the opener. Every further attempt drags the door further out of line and turns a straightforward reseat into bent track and creased panels. The door is unbalanced and it can drop, so keep people and cars out from under it.

What causes it
Seized or broken roller
A roller stops turning, binds, and jumps the track.
Fix: Full roller set, usually nylon.
Snapped cable
One side drops, the door goes diagonal and comes out of the vertical track.
Fix: Cables in pairs, then reseat.
Bent track
Track damaged earlier pinches the rollers until one jumps out.
Fix: Replace the damaged section. A door forced into a bent track comes off again.
