Off-track garage door repair in Alameda
A door comes off its track after a knock from a bumper, a snapped cable, or a roller that finally seized. It looks obviously wrong: leaning, jammed at an angle, or hanging out of the vertical track on one side.
From $180 typical range $180 to $380

The most useful thing you can do is stop pressing the button. Every attempt drags the door further out of line, and that's what turns a straightforward reseat into bent track and creased panels.
What the repair involves
We take the tension off, lift the door back into the track, replace whatever failed, then check the track for bends and the panels for damage. A kinked track section gets replaced. Force a door back into a bent track and it comes off again.
Why it happened
The usual cause around here is a low-speed bump in a narrow driveway. The next most common is a roller that seized. If the door came off with nothing hitting it, something else failed first, and we go looking for that instead of just putting it back up.

Questions we get asked
- Is an off-track door dangerous?
- Treat it as unsafe. It's unbalanced and it can drop. Keep people and cars out from under it and call.
- What does it cost?
- From $180. If the track or a panel is damaged we price that separately and show you before we do it.
- Can you do it the same day?
- Usually. A car trapped behind an off-track door moves up the list.
